Premise Assistant – Lancashire County Museum Service Headquarters Preston
Our service
The Conservation & Collections Team of Lancashire County Council support the operation and development of museums across Lancashire through the provision of specialist conservation, technical, design and curatorial skills. Further we undertake work for museums and heritage organisations nationally.
The role is to:
1. Assist the Heritage Business Facilitator and the Heritage Premises Officer at the Museum Headquarters site in Preston.
2. To maintain security and assist the Heritage Premises Officer with all duties including site cleanliness, health, and safety checking, monitoring contractors, day-to-day maintenance, porterage, reception and conference duties.
3. Supporting the activities of the Conservation & Collection team with regard to Lancashire's Heritage.
The role is permanent 29.6 hours per week (4 days), but this will be on a rota to ensure the site has coverage during all opening hours 7.45am – 17.45pm Monday – Friday.
Salary: £22,737 - £23,114 pro rata - Pay award pending
