ASIC Design Engineer

This is a unique opportunity to join a new company embarking on their UK journey. With offices in the USA, this company is now seeking a talented and experienced ASIC Design Engineer to join their team in Cambridge in their growing UK office. The role requires a deep understanding of chip design, IP block design, and ideally an understanding of security. The ASIC Design Engineer will be responsible for contributing to the development of open-source silicon and implementing security features in ASIC designs.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborates with the engineering team to develop and implement secure IP and micro-architecture designs.
* Works on ASIC design and verification using OpenTitan and open-source silicon methodologies.
* Develops and integrates security features into ASIC designs to meet industry standards.
* Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion.
* Contributes to the development and improvement of ASIC security best practices and processes.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
* Proven experience in ASIC design, IP block design, and micro-architecture.
* Strong knowledge of security principles and implementation in ASIC designs.
* Experience with OpenTitan and open-source silicon is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with industry-standard security protocols and best practices.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Day-to-Day:
* Collaborating with the engineering team to design and implement secure IP and micro-architecture.
* Participating in ASIC design and verification using OpenTitan and open-source silicon methodologies.
* Integrating security features into ASIC designs and contributing to security best practices.
* Engaging with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and adherence to industry standards.
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of ASIC security processes and practices.
