Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Strategic Influence & Leadership: Effective communication and influencing stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external, including partnership working with Trade Union colleagues.
Business Insight & Workforce Strategy: Understand clinical service operations, anticipate trends, and integrate HR initiatives into broader organisational goals using continuous improvement methodologies.
Change Management & Organisational Development: Lead organisation change initiatives, support workforce redesign, and facilitate organisational development activity.
Talent & Succession Planning: Develop strategies to enhance workforce capabilities, succession planning, and effective resource management.
Risk & Compliance Management: Mitigate risks in employment matters, interpret legislation, and ensure adherence to national employment and legislative frameworks. Actively involved in policy development and governance.
Technology & Data Utilisation: Leverage HR systems and analytics to drive evidence-based decision making and workforce planning.
Operational: Advise on complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with employment law and best practices for both the Agenda for Change and Medical and Dental workforce.
Each role will be aligned to a Clinical Directorate within the Trust:
Planned, Surgical and Children's Care Directorate, primarily based on the Harrogate Hospital Site.
Children's Young People and Public Health Directorate, delivering services across a number of bases within the Trust's geographical footprint.
Person specification
Qualifications
* Masters Degree or equivalent experience.
* Chartered Member of the CIPD.
Experience
* Previous HR role within employee relations/business partnering in a large complex organisation.
* Policy development and successful implementation.
* Record of successful achievement of managing change as an HR professional.
* Experience of supporting health and well-being and employee experience programmes.
* NHS Experience.
Knowledge
* Knowledge and understanding of the workforce and OD priorities in the NHS.
* Ability to interpret and implement HR strategy and policy.
* A thorough knowledge of employment law and experience of interpreting the law in an HR advisory role.
* Understanding of the Equality and Diversity agenda within a public sector setting.
* Experience of change management programs including restructures, redundancy, and TUPE transfers.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
