Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Leckwith, Cardiff. This role involves working with students who display challenging behaviour, providing them with the guidance and support they need to thrive in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties.
* Assisting in the delivery of tailored educational and behavioural support plans.
* Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies.
* Building positive relationships with students to encourage engagement in learning.
* Working closely with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing environment.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour (desirable).
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
* A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
