There are several UK resettlement or relocation schemes (the UK Resettlement Scheme, the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP) and the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS). You should be comfortable working at pace in a complex, fast-moving, multi-stakeholder environment with high levels of senior visibility. You will need to work collaboratively, be up for building strong relationships quickly, and be able to influence through others. You will be an inspirational and visible leader who champions diversity. The role will report to the Director of Resettlement Services, John Hawkins, who is also the SRO for Resettlement Services. You will work jointly with other Deputy Directors, and the wider operational teams within Resettlement Services to ensure successful delivery of our commitments and focused on delivery.
This role will have regular engagement with Ministers and Home Sec as well as 2nd Perm Sec and Cabinet office, providing strategic oversight and guidance to Home Office Ministers and Senior Home Office Leadership as a subject matter expert. You will manage stakeholder communications and form collaborative relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally and build consensus across a large and often diverse group of stakeholders.
