About the role
Primary duties
1. Carry out service and repairs on a wide range of Draeger Breathing Apparatus products and Accessories.
2. Repair and testing of various reducer and valve assemblies.
3. Repair and testing of all products within the Draeger Escape range of equipment.
4. Carry out cylinder recharging.
5. Repair and testing of all Draeger Self-contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment.
6. Repair, testing and commissioning of telemetry systems.
7. Use of automated test equipment for fault finding and final acceptance testing.
8. Completion of all technical documentation relating to the repairs process.
9. Completion of product test certificates.
10. Comply with internal quality standards.
11. Prepare technical repair reports as required by the customer.
12. Expectations are that customer contact will be required.
13. Flexible approach to other repair orientated tasks as required.
Additional duties
14. May be required to support Field Service Engineers.
15. May be required to support activities in other areas of the Service Department.

20. Working in the Breathing Apparatus (BA) repairs workshop alongside four other technicians, within the wider Service & Repairs team consisting of 24 people.
Role Requirements
Education/Qualifications
21. Minimum of three GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language & Mathematics is desirable or proven work experience.
Related Experience
22. Experience in Service and Repair of a range of mechanical devices is desirable.
23. Some electronics knowledge would be an advantage.
Skills, Special Competencies
24. Good communications skills (Written and Verbal).
25. PC skills with good knowledge of MS Office applications.
26. Customer focus with a positive attitude towards solving customer problems.
27. Ability to communicate clearly with customers.
28. Confident and able to work under own initiative.
29. Able to work effectively as part of a team.
