About us
Seccl is the Octopus-owned embedded investment platform that’s helping more people to invest – and invest well. Our sector is being held back by old tech, dismal processes and misaligned interests. Together they create pointless complexity for financial planning and investment professionals, and provide outdated, overpriced experiences for customers. We’re on a mission to fix it.
We help forward-thinking financial planners, wealth managers and investment platforms to reimagine their business and client experience – empowering them to build better, more sustainable and more valuable operations, and meet the digital demands of the future, not the baseline expectations of the past.
And we do it by reimagining their technology – with a low-cost, hyper-efficient and (genuinely) API-first technology infrastructure that handles millions of requests every day, and powers the portfolios of more than 200,000 investors.
A regulated custodian and ISA/SIPP provider, we combine the disruptive mindset and ambitious mission to shake things up, with the commitment and substance to not screw them up.
We’re proud to be part of Octopus, the £12.8 billion group that's on a mission to breathe new life into broken industries, through companies like Octopus Energy, Octopus Investments and Octopus Money.
About the team
The launch team is a group of onboarding and implementation specialists with a deep understanding of Seccl’s technology & operations, as well as the broader wealth landscape. They excel at using Seccl’s platform to launch new propositions and collaborate with firms to create innovative solutions and provide strategic guidance.
About the role
As a senior launch manager, you’ll be owning the onboarding, launch, and migration of enterprise firms across our target segments. If you’re excited about helping more people invest, driving change and innovation, and diving head-first into the unknown; if you see setbacks as fuel for growth and development; and if you believe that laser-focussed effort is the key to making things happen – then this is the role for you.
On a typical day your responsibilities will be...
* Technical expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert on our product and API to support integrations, demonstrating deep understanding of investment operations, customer journeys, and the wider wealth landscape.
* Onboarding excellence: Own the full onboarding and implementation cycle, from kick-off to full roll-out, coordinating completion across commercial, legal, operations, and technical workstreams.
* Solution development: Architect elegant solutions addressing specific customer challenges and operating models, including complex integrations and new proposition launches.
* Knowledge scaling: Create and share best practices, reusable assets, and training materials to enhance go-to-market efficiency, supporting the launch and wider commercial teams.
* Customer success: Partner with sales and account management to drive opportunities for our onboarding and existing customers, leading solution strategy and laying the groundwork for successful implementations.
* Migration delivery: Drive the planning, coordination, and seamless execution of large-scale migrations, working cross-functionality with operations, product, and engineering teams to deliver commercial objectives.
* Technical support: Help resolve complex technical issues for key customers, working with customer success and engineering teams.
* Product influence: Act as the “voice of the customer”, providing actionable insights to influence product development and roadmap prioritisation.
* Sales support: Represent technical, launch, and migration aspects in sales conversations, identify potential blockers and propose solutions.
This role isn’t for you if...
* You rely on a lot of top-down direction. Here, you’ll have freedom and ownership of your role, and you’ll be expected to shape your own progression.
* You’re not comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Our speed and scalability is what set us apart; you need to be able to act quickly and think on your feet.
* You struggle to follow through on your ideas. We value people who do what they say they will, and take ownership over making things happen.
* You don’t like change. You’ll get on great here if you relish the ambiguity of rapid growth and are willing to embrace uncertainty.
Our culture
We are proud to cultivate a culture first, human environment and genuinely listen to our people about what matters to them most. As a result, we’re proud we’ve cultivated a transparent and inclusive environment that encourages diversity of thought, challenge and experimentation.
