A client within the Public Sector based in North London is currently recruiting for a Repairs & Maintenance Supervisor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a housing repairs and maintenance environment.
The Role
The key purpose of the role is to oversee multi-trades and contractors, ensuring the effective delivery of void repairs, planned, and reactive maintenance works.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Managing directly employed operatives (DLOs) and subcontractors while ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
* Ensuring Health & Safety compliance, conducting risk assessments, and leading toolbox talks.
* Managing on-site operatives, driving productivity, and overseeing performance.
* Effective resource and workload planning, carrying out quality assurance checks through regular audits, and maintaining accurate records.
* Scoping void works and post-inspecting completed works to ensure compliance with Lettable standards.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will require:
* A solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements.
* Experience working within a Local Authority or Social Housing environment.
* Strong team and people management skills, including managing multi-trades and contractors.
* IT competency and a full, clean UK driving license.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such is offering £26 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £20 per hour PAYE).
