An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of the T&O Hands team and Sports & Exercise Medicine. The post holder will support the provision of high quality administrative support to both teams.
The position is permanent. Full time 37.5 hours spread out over Monday to Friday. The post is based mainly on the QMC campus with the potential to work from home for some of the working days.
The PPA is a significant role and a key member of our administrative team supporting multidisciplinary clinicians and ensuring that patient's letters are typed in a timely manner. The main purpose of the role is to deliver high-quality, timely and efficient administrative services to our service to allow our patients to move smoothly along their hospital pathways for best possible and timely care.

The post holder will deliver high-quality and timely administrative services that predominantly consists of typing clinical letters and ensuring patient's test results are tracked efficiently.
Experience of medical terminology is an advantage and some form of typing experience is desirable, but not essential. It is preferable but not essential that the successful candidate will have had previous NHS experience, ideally in a similar role; some business & administration education or equivalent experience; and experience of using clinical IT systems (such as Notis or CareFlow). Some competence in Microsoft Office software including MS Word, Excel and Outlook are essential. We use Microsoft Teams extensively as our online collaboration and communications tool.
