My client is looking for a dynamic and proactive Proposals / Bid Manager to join their growing team at their Wakefield office. You will play a key role in driving the growth of the business by managing the bid process for projects with values up to £10M.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the preparation, writing, and submission of competitive bids and proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
2. Manage the full bid process from initial qualification through to submission, including planning, coordination, and presentation.
3. Work closely with senior management, estimating teams, and technical specialists to ensure accurate and compelling submissions.
4. Develop win strategies, value propositions, and tailored solutions to meet client needs.
5. Analyse tender documents and identify risks, opportunities, and key information required for the bid.
6. Ensure all proposals are professionally presented, accurate, and submitted on time.
7. Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to enhance future business opportunities.
8. Continuously improve the bid process and share best practices across the team.
Ideal Candidate:
1. Bid Manager or highly experienced Bid Writer looking for the next step in your career.
2. Proven track record in managing or supporting bids for construction projects, ideally with experience in education, commercial, industrial, or healthcare sectors.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to produce high-quality proposals and presentations.
4. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
6. Knowledge of construction project delivery, tendering processes, and procurement methods.
