Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about supporting young people with autism? Ready to make a genuine impact in a nurturing and inclusive school environment? This is the opportunity you've been waiting for.
Teach Now is thrilled to be recruiting for a dedicated Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a well-respected secondary school in Hertfordshire. This welcoming school caters to Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, and is widely praised for its inclusive ethos, supportive staff team, and strong SEN department. With excellent facilities and a leadership team committed to pupil well-being and staff development, it's a place where both students and staff can thrive.
In this vital role, you’ll work closely with students on the autism spectrum, offering tailored 1:1 and small-group support to help them reach their full potential. You’ll collaborate with experienced teachers, SEN professionals, and families to create positive learning experiences and build trust with students who need it most.
The ideal candidate will have:
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
• Experience working with children with autism and/or SEN
• A desire to help learners grow in confidence and independence
• Flexibility and commitment to working as part of a team
Whether you're a qualified teacher, experienced TA, or someone with a background in care or support work, we’d love to hear from you.
This is more than a job — it’s a chance to change lives.
