To take a proactive role in the administration and organisation of Postgraduate MedicalEducation activities for doctors in training including the administration of the doctors intrainingstudyleaveprocess.
To ensure that the day to day delivery of Foundation and Specialty education andtrainingis consistentwithlocal,nationalandregionalstandards.
To offer clerical support to the Senior Postgraduate Administrators and the PostgraduateManagerinall postgraduateeducational activity
Ability to work unsupervised and at times under pressure maintaining a high degree of self-motivation;abilitytoprioritise own workloadtomeetdeadlines
Plan and implement postgraduate medical training courses and teaching programmes in collaboration with the Director of Postgraduate Medical Education, Foundation Programme Directors and Health Education England
Work in collaboration with the Postgraduate Administrative team to ensure an optimum level of support for all postgraduate medical education activities
Administer and maintain Accent (doctors in training study leave database), ensuring expenditure is contained within spending limits, approved on an equitable basis and that doctors in training comply with regional study leave policy, referring to the Director of Postgraduate Medical Education when necessary.
To support the Senior Postgraduate Administrators with the Annual Review of Competency Progression (ARCP) for Foundation Programme Trainees
Negotiate pharmaceutical sponsorship for teaching events to ensure that opportunities are maximised to meet the training needs of medical staff and raise invoices accordingly.
