Sodexo Energy and Resources has an amazing opportunity for an experienced FM professional to become our Assistant Manager at the ConocoPhillips site in Stockton on Tees. Managing a team of 20 cleaning operatives, you will support the General Manager in the delivery of the agreed service standards, ensuring deadlines and targets are achieved to our clients' satisfaction. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist with the management of the onsite client and Sodexo services and teams to deliver the agreed SLA’s and standards, acting as a Sodexo representative on site.
2. Provide direction and expertise to the operating areas by promoting Sodexo strategies and best business practices to uphold the company mission values.
3. Ensure legislative and statutory compliance to company policies and procedures are embedded and adhered to, and operational deadlines are met.
4. Lead, develop, manage, and motivate the onsite teams to the agreed standards, ensuring the client receives services of the highest quality.
5. Support the General Manager in the development of business strategies in line with current and emerging client needs.
6. Contribute to and maintain site development plans, as well as supporting the change management process and associated Service Level Agreements, ensuring risks are mitigated.
7. Drive innovation and continuous improvement of people, systems, processes and service.
8. Responsibility for workforce planning within area ensuring that adequate cover is provided for absence of team members.
9. Ensure that there is effective two-way communication to all levels of staff within area. This will include ensuring that team briefings take place and that company and client objectives, and values are communicated.
10. Ensure that health and safety standards are understood and delivered across all areas of operations. This must include any agency staff and all employees from their first date working on site.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in leading a large team of cleaning professionals within an FM multi-site environment. You will also need strong relationship-building skills and commitment to service excellence.
Although your team offers a soft service domestic cleaning operation, you will be based on a COMAH site and therefore knowledge and a passion for Health and Safety are essential, as is the ability to communicate and influence your team to adhere to the Health and Safety regulations. You will also have:
1. The ability to lead a medium team of professionals to achieve our service and financial objectives for the site and attain organisational goals.
2. A UK driving licence (essential).
3. The ability to build relationships and work with clients to add value to their business, retain existing accounts, explore, and develop additional opportunities.
4. The ability to prioritise and deploy resources effectively.
5. Sound knowledge of H&S.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Good literacy and numeracy skills.
8. Computer literacy.
