About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Caseworker to join our dynamic team in Wakefield. This is a hybrid role, offering a flexible blend of remote working and in-office duties, allowing you to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs.
As a SEN Caseworker, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring that their individual needs are met in line with statutory guidelines. You will work closely with families, schools, and multi-agency professionals to ensure that appropriate support and interventions are in place.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and coordinate Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring that they are reviewed, updated, and implemented effectively.
2. Provide advice and support to parents, carers, and schools regarding SEN provision and the EHCP process.
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess the needs of children and young people with SEND, ensuring that all statutory deadlines are met.
