Job summary The New Surgery in Brentwood, has an exciting opportunity for a medical receptionist/care navigator to join their team on a part-time basis. This position is for 25- 30 hours per week, with 8am starts each day and some 6.30pm finishes. This role could be split between 2 people if you would prefer 15 hours per week. Some sickness/holiday cover will be required from time to time. This role is to ensure a friendly, helpful and efficient service to the doctors and patients at our busy practice. General practice is a challenging environment that requires a calm and caring approach with the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has customer service/patient experience and offers excellent communication skills. Main duties of the job Answering the telephone and dealing with enquiries in a helpful, tactful manner. Care navigation to services we have available to patients both in the practice and locally. Making appointments for patients, surgeries andclinics on the appropriate computerised diary system. Opening and closing of the clinic premises as appropriate. Admin activities as advised by practice manager. Other reasonable tasks necessary to fulfil your role and assist with the smooth running of the practice. About us TheNew Surgery in Brentwood is part of the Brentwood Primary Care Network (PCN). We work across 2 sites within 3 miles of each other. Our branch surgery The Brambles, is a smaller site and reception staff are required to work across both sites on occasion. We are a busy practice with 13 800 patients and have a Good CQC rating. We are in a good location near to Brentwood High Street, with parking available for staff. We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.
