Position - Maintenance Engineer Location - London Salary - £45,000 Shifts - 8am - 5pm What You’ll Do: Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems, equipment, and facilities. Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems. Review assigned work orders, estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs, and utilise available systems to manage work orders and track completion. Support energy management by ensuring that all systems operate efficiently. Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions. Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of your job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function. Lead by example and model behaviours that are consistent with company values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement. Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within your team and related teams. Work within broad guidelines and policies. Explain difficult or sensitive information effectively. What You’ll Need: GCSE, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience is preferred. Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads. Ability to exercise judgement based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Strong organisational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset. Sophisticated maths skills, including the ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations
