Main purpose of the Job: To be part of a skilled team providing direct care and support to ensure the best outcomes, for disabled children and young people. This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies. This position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check. We currently have Residential Care Worker vacancies across Cornwall. We also have one full time and one part time (0.68) Waking Nights Residential Care Worker vacancy at our home in Gwennap. What you’ll need to succeed: Ideally you are enthusiastic about making positive changes in the lives of disabled children. You should be child centred, able to use your own initiative, and work as part of a team. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and partnership working when working with parents and other professionals. You should have or are willing to work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care (which the Council will fund). A generous relocation package will be available for eligible candidates.
