Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Health Safety Environment Advisor located in Hamilton at Ireland Alloys Ltd. The HSE Advisor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a safe working environment within the company.
Key Duties
* Preparing, drafting, owning and maintaining all HSE standards, requirements and procedures
* Overseeing site activities, with a particular focus on safety procedures
* Providing HSE guidance to site teams and management
* Conduct regular site inspections, audits and HSE Meetings
* Investigate incidents and conduct inspections
* Maintain COSHH register and produce assessments as required
* Compiling and completing compliance reports and site documentation
* Reporting to site management on safety and environmental related matters
* Delivering training sessions as required
* Manage Contractors onsite, ensuring safety and environmental requirements and procedures are followed in full
* Work with all departments to identify improvements to HSE practices and make recommendations for improvement
Qualifications/Skills
* Proven experience as a HSE Advisor
* Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations
* NEBOSH and IOSH certification - working towards NEBOSH Diploma is desirable
* Strong understanding of ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 requirements
* Proficient in conducting root cause analysis for incident investigations
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience working within the metal/scrap industry is desirable
* ISO lead/internal auditor training is desirable
Pay & Hours of Work
Annual salary is between £32,000 - £38,000 dependant on experience.
Hours of Work are 37 hours per week over Monday to Friday
(Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5pm & Friday 8:30 to 1:30pm)
