Job Title: Functional Skills Outreach Tutor Location: East of England, Essex, Chelmsford Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Outreach Tutor to join our team in Chelmsford, Essex. As a tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational outreach programmes to individuals in need of functional skills development. Your primary focus will be on providing support and guidance to learners in the East of England region to help them achieve their educational goals. Job Duties: Deliver engaging and informative functional skills sessions to learners Create tailored learning plans to meet the specific needs of each individual Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to education delivery Maintain accurate records of learner attendance and progress Required Qualifications: Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent) Experience in delivering functional skills education Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Previous experience working in an educational outreach setting Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development and assessment techniques Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with adult learners Familiarity with the UK education system and qualification frameworks Additional teaching qualifications or certifications Working Conditions: This role is based in Chelmsford, Essex, with travel required to different outreach locations in the East of England region.
