Main Responsibilities To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work including the management of service users in their care. To ensure high standards of clinical care for the service users under their management and support others to do likewise To undertake comprehensive assessment of service users, using investigative and analytical skills to formulate individualised rehabilitation and treatment plans To promote choice in all aspects of clinical practice reviewing and making suggestions to enhance the service users experience and enabling concerns and complaints to be raised freely by service users and their representatives To liaise and communicate with other health and social care professionals and volunteers in the planning and delivery of occupational therapy. To ensure appropriate provision and maintenance of equipment within available resources To ensure that up to date written and electronic records are maintained in accordance with Professional and Brainkind standards, and that sensitive information is held securely. To demonstrate clinical leadership and promote clinical supervision. To share knowledge and expertise with other staff through formal and informal teaching To be responsible for raising the awareness of the team regarding clinical governance and clinical risk issues and for implementing clinical governance policies, standards, and guidelines Facilitating the safe and smooth running of the Service, the post holder is expected to maintain a safe working environment, maintain service user confidentiality, and occasionally take on reasonable additional tasks.
