To be part of a team delivering a high quality, efficient, and effective radiographic service, you will make informed decisions on the diagnostic images required and demonstrate a professional, caring, and responsible approach to patients. There is a commitment to out of hours work and on-call duties within the imaging department. You will primarily be based at Freeman during core hours, but the Interventional Radiology service requires you to work on the RVI site out of hours as well. While the post is based at the Freeman Hospital, rotation to the Royal Victoria Infirmary may be necessary in times of staff shortages.
You must be HCPC registered and hold a BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography. Please note that it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first month's pay.
As a flexible working friendly organization, we want to ensure that you can work in a way that is best for us, for our patients, and for you. Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement. If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you.
