About the Role
We are a modern law firm based in Glasgow, specialising in immigration law. We provide services to a wide range of clients throughout the UK and overseas. The firm is undergoing a period of expansion and are now seeking a Receptionist to join our team.
Working Pattern:
This is an in-person role. Hours are 8.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing excellent customer service and administrative support. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy office environment.
Responsibilities
* Greet clients and visitors warmly, providing a positive first impression of the company.
* Answer and direct phone calls with appropriate phone etiquette, ensuring all inquiries are handled promptly.
* Manage the reception area, keeping it tidy and organised at all times.
* Perform clerical duties including photocopying and scanning.
* Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, room bookings, and managing calendars using Outlook.
* Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, both electronic and paper-based, ensuring timely distribution.
* Support other team members with various office tasks as required.
Essential
* Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer-facing role, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
* A keen eye for detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards in all work undertaken.
