The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience working with adults and young people in teaching or training roles. Experience in managing learning programmes with high standards of preparation is essential. Strong communication skills, especially the ability to engage with adult learners empathetically, are a must. You should be able to converse fluently in English, providing effective help or advice. A deep understanding of quality assurance processes and the importance of monitoring the learner journey is crucial. We value a keen awareness of equality issues impacting adult learning, as well as in-depth knowledge of specialist curriculum and qualifications available for adults. Some experience in embedding English and maths into learning programmes is beneficial. We require a minimum Level 4 teaching qualification, or that you are currently working towards it. A minimum Level 3 qualification in your area of specialism is also necessary. Ideally, you will have an Award in Assessing Vocational Achievement (A1) or be working towards it. Lastly, a minimum Level 2 qualification in English and maths is essential.
