£28,487 - £31,939 per annum pro rata (applies to all, including those under the age of 21)
Staff accommodation is available at a rate of £63.70 per week
YHA The Sill at Hadrian's Wall are recruiting for a new Deputy Manager to bolster our ranks. As Deputy Manager you'll be the chief centurion, assisting the Hostel Manager in all aspects of running this flagship 88-bed 4-star youth hostel that sits just a stone's throw away from the most breathtaking section of Hadrian's Wall.

What will you be doing as a Deputy Manager?
We are a friendly team and will provide the training required for you to undertake the role. However, there is plenty for you to get stuck into from day one, including:
* Delivering an excellent customer experience to all hostel guests.
* Contributing towards the achievement of targets across all aspects of the hostel operation.
* Supporting the Hostel Manager by managing a team of employees and occasional volunteers.
* Contributing to the team effort in the day-to-day operation of the hostel.
What Skills and Experience do you need to be a Deputy Manager?
To provide this service we are looking for candidates who have:
* Experience in hospitality or customer service.
* Ability to manage varying pressures and workloads.
* Experience of managing a team.
* Food safety level 2 and APLH level 2 qualifications (desirable).
* Basic IT skills (ideally Microsoft Office).
* Knowledge and understanding of the core purpose of YHA.
