This is a new post in the Development Management team where you will undertake a wide range of planning work including complex planning applications and appeals. Working as a senior officer in the team you will have responsibility for your own caseload as well as mentoring junior staff to ensure the service delivers quality and efficient decisions. You will work with colleagues within and beyond the service and support other functions of the team including preparing reports and presenting at planning committee whilst demonstrating a positive image of the service and Council. About You An experienced development management professional with a developed understanding and knowledge of the range of planning legislation and processes. You will be adept at analysing complex information and working effectively within a complex decision making framework. A skilled communicator with the ability to work across teams and large organisations with a passion to make a difference. A forward thinker and problem solver, with the drive to develop yourself and junior colleagues.
