Job Summary
The Senior Financial Administrator plays a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the organisation. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. The Senior Financial Administrator will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare and manage the annual budget process, including forecasting and variance analysis.
2. Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
3. Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
4. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including tax obligations.
5. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that drive operational efficiency.
6. Manage cash flow and monitor financial performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).
7. Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and liaise with external auditors during audits.
8. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
1. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is essential; a professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
2. Proven experience in a similar financial administration role, preferably within a senior capacity.
3. Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.
4. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
5. Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
6. Exceptional organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
8. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
