Casual Support Worker - Regulated Service - Home Care
Location: Community work based at British Red Cross, Dundee Technology Park, Dundee, DD2 1SW, with travel around Dundee
Hours: Casual hours
Contract type: Casual role, as and when required
Salary: £12.00 per hour
Driving Requirement: A full driving license and access to a vehicle is preferred but not mandatory
This is a Regulated Service and successful candidates will be required to register with the Scottish Social Security Council (SSSC) within 3 months of starting the role.

This role will include flexible working and fast paced changes. As a support worker, you will play a vital role in providing practical and emotional assistance to individuals in their own homes whilst assessing their needs
What will a day in the life of a Support worker involve?
Working closely with people, their families and other professionals to create care plans tailored to their needs and goals.
Assisting and enabling individuals with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, meal preparation medication management, and mobility support.
Collaborating with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other team members to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.
Monitoring and evaluating individuals progress, adjusting care plans as needed to promote optimal recovery and well-being.
Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of interactions, care plans, and progress.
To be a successful Support Worker, what will you need?
Previous experience in a similar care, preferably within a healthcare or social care setting.
Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on individuals lives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge of person-centred care principles and a commitment to upholding dignity and autonomy.
Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred but not mandatory.
