Arriva Traincare have exciting new opportunity for you to join our team as a Stores Assistant. This is a key role in our material team, in which you will be responsible for supporting and assisting the Stores Team ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Crewe stores. Receiving a salary of £24,579.28 per annum along with great additional benefits including pension, life and healthcare cover, Arriva Travel Pass, Cycle to Work scheme and Arriva Village retailer discount scheme. This is a fixed term contract for 2 years working Monday to Friday 07:00 – 15:00 What will this role in the Stores Assistant team entail? Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles Undertaking goods inward inspections, checking to drawing and book into SAP as appropriate Putting away delivered material into correct storage locations & manage bin locations in SAP Controlled issuing of material both physically and in SAP Preparing and picking material against pre-defined kit lists and delivering to point of use materials storage area, booking out to defined sub-jobs in SAP Return material required for overhaul etc to suppliers packaged and protected appropriately Assist with undertaking periodic stock counts Responsible for ensuring good housekeeping and cleanliness in general areas Fork lift driving duties as required covering stores and shop floor requirements Maintain the cleanliness of the stores building Collection & delivery to local suppliers as and when required Ensure compliance to safety and railway group standards or other appropriate regulatory standards as applicable Management of offsite storage material What will I need to be considered for this Stores Assistant role?
