The Role As the Accounts Director / Associate, you will play a pivotal role in the leadership team, shaping the future of the practice. You will work closely with the Partners to manage a portfolio of clients, develop new business opportunities, and lead a team of dedicated professionals. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Client Management: Overseeing a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and building long-term relationships. Team Leadership: Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of accountants, ensuring high performance and staff engagement. Strategic Development: Supporting the Partners in shaping the strategic direction of the practice, driving growth, and identifying opportunities for innovation. Business Development: Playing an active role in winning new business, representing the firm at networking events, and identifying potential opportunities to expand the client base. Technical Expertise: Providing high-level technical advice to clients, including complex accounting, tax planning, and business advisory services. Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal quality standards across the firm. Requirements The Ideal Candidate To be considered for this role, you will ideally possess the following: A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent). Significant experience in an accountancy practice environment, with proven success in client management and team leadership. Strong technical knowledge across accounting, tax, and business advisory disciplines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and influence others. A commercial mindset, with the drive to contribute to the growth and success of the practice. A passion for providing exceptional client service and a genuine interest in helping businesses succeed.
