The role of the IT Manager is to provide A Cut Above’ service to our stores and staff through effective communication and IT support. The manager will be in charge of the day to day running of the IT infrastructure and systems for the Company and to maximise efficiency by implementing and managing effective processes, procedures, planning, and strategy to effectively become the ‘engine’ of the business.
1. Responsible for the day-to-day management & supervision of the IT team and all system activities; ensuring they function effectively, problems identified and resolved on a timely basis. Including Cloud services, applications, data services and analytics systems, network connectivity and other key systems.
2. Oversee the management & maintenance of networking and telecommunication systems - monitoring system performance to help to identify system and service improvements to minimize repeat problems.
3. Manage external third-party support contracts to ensure that they are delivering the required level of service and that contract obligations are being met by setting and managing budgets.
4. Preparing proposals for new or replacement hardware and software in accordance with the needs of the business.
5. Testing system upgrades of the software systems used and updating procedures accordingly.
6. Documenting policies and procedures relating to key areas of existing or new systems to assist in the specification and introduction of new software and to assist users of the systems to carry out their job.
7. Ensuring compliance is maintained & licenses renewed to ensure security & system support is up to date. Including Company is compliant regarding regulations such as GDPR & PCI standards.
8. Developing & reviewing cyber security procedures & processes to support secure operations and cyber incident response. Conduct internal audits to verify the security and efficiency of the organization’s network.
9. Ensuring that backup systems are in place and monitoring these to ensure that downtime is kept to a minimum. Carry out a Bi-annual disaster recovery test and management report of outcome.
10. Controlling all telecommunications and CCTV systems.
11. Ensuring IT and Telephony systems are evolving and continually improving to enable growth and aligning the company goals and business plan by monitoring the customer satisfaction with IT systems & support service – including satisfaction with devices, application performance and availability, user experience, connectivity and service levels.
12. Manage the Out of Hours support availability.
The IT Manager will be a key member of the team, responsible for overseeing the technology infrastructure and ensuring the successful delivery of IT projects, whether for new implementations or upgrades to existing systems. This role will support the organization’s objectives by driving value through efficient and effective IT solutions. The IT Manager will be expected to perform their duties in line with established processes and procedures, adhere to IT governance and security strategies, and take personal responsibility for ensuring compliance with Environmental, Safety, Security, and Quality standards.
You will need to be flexible and willing to travel to our various store locations across the UK to provide on-site support to line managers and oversee IT projects.
