The Warehouse Operations Manager for our location in Bracknell, UK is responsible for the timely, efficient and economical processing of a range of products including Cellphones, Tablets, consumer electronics, accessories, and wearables. He or She will be responsible for establishing and delivering on quality standards for the operation and meeting or exceeding company goals and objectives including financial performance.
Key responsibilities are directing the company's manufacturing activities, including production operations, manufacturing engineering, materials management, and equipment/facilities maintenance, to ensure maximum effectiveness is obtained for the production of quality products within specified time and budgetary guidelines. This position is accountable to ensure processing meets or exceeds metrics, required delivery schedules are met, and leadership is provided in continuous improvement activities to successfully enable scalability while achieving company goals of quality, cost, and delivery.
Essential Job Functions
* Drive process improvement activities on the production floor focused on improving manufacturing processes as well as reducing costs through innovative methodologies and established manufacturing principles such as Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Single piece flow, etc.
* Improve operating margins by developing and executing on metrics through effective measurement and reporting.
* Responsible for maximizing productivity, achieving KPI targets and respecting on-time delivery.
* Develop and improve the full supply chain throughout the production processes.
* Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues throughout the manufacturing operations.
* Manage project tasks and timelines to ensure successful completion.
* Provide leadership and coaching to the manufacturing departments and leads.
* Perform other duties as assigned within your scope of responsibilities.
Job Specifications
General:
* 8+ years of progressive manufacturing operations, leadership, and strategy experience in a processing/manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge and deployment of state-of-the-art manufacturing practices (including continuous flow and batch processes) as well as quality and continuous improvement techniques, analytical and quantitative skills.
* Demonstrated leadership in processing Operations of complex electro‐mechanical devices; 5S, Lean, Six Sigma, or other TQM process improvement. Current Six Sigma Black Belt desirable.
* Demonstrated leadership in leveraging world-class ERP, materials management tools to optimize capacity planning, material movement, shop floor management, and reporting required.
* Must be hands-on, willing to engage directly on the production floor.
* Strong combination of business operations, quality, continuous improvement, process development, and program management experience to provide unique solutions to the dynamic range of problems.
Skills & Abilities:
* Ability to establish, extend, and maintain trust with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Ability to lead and mentor staff to achieve significant results as well as effective team building, communication, and verbal skills.
* Possess high professional ethics, good judgment, and the ability to take make timely decisions.
* Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
