Job summary We are pleased to be able to offer 3 Vacancies within our team. 1 x Permanent 2 x Fixed Term (18 Months) Our First Response service offers 24/7 support to people of all ages living in Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale or Craven to ensure that access to high-quality mental health care can be achieved by people suffering with a mental health Crisis in line with Core 24 Guidance. Accessed through a single phone number people can ring for help from psychological / mental health trained staff, who can identify their needs and intervene or signpost as required to ensure that they can access the right support in a timely way from an appropriate service. Main duties of the job The Telecoaches are the first point of contact for callers who contact First Response. The role is varied and includes: o The primary role is to provide initial triage assessment of callers and use the Triage Form on SystmOne and the UKMH Triage Scale to aid decision making about appropriate and timely response. o They will share information, in-line with Information Governance guidance, offer signposting and advice to callers including service users, carers, staff from a range of health, social care and voluntary agencies including 999 services. o They will provide compassionate and professional support to callers. o Where appropriate they will provide time-limited telephone support and assist individuals in managing distress by providing validation and reassurance and supporting known mental health service users and carers to use strategies from individual Crisis and Contingency Care Plans, (if in place).
