To carry out the duties as a Gas Engineer in accordance with Statutory Regulations, Company policies and Procedures. To assist the Team in producing a quality product meeting the requirements of the contract and in a safe manner. Adhere to all requirements set by SHEQ team, policy, and strategy.\n\nAbility to carry out servicing of gas appliances including boilers, fires, and cookers in a timely and safe manor.
To carry out general breakdowns and have the ability diagnose and repair to achieve 1st time fix. Be part of an on-call Rota to cover Out of Hours breakdowns as required.\n\nKey Accountabilities\n\n * Carry out work in a safe manor on Servicing, breakdowns and installs.\n\n * Maintain and care for all company tools and calibrated equipment.\n\n * To use appropriate safety equipment\n\n * To wear appropriate clothing / uniform\n\n * To ensure areas of work are left clean and tidy at the end of the day.\n\n * If a van is allocated, to be responsible for and take due care of the company van in accordance with the company car policy.\n\n * To be responsible for holding keys for communal entrances, meter cupboards and allow access where appropriate.\n\n * Liaison with the client, consultants, contract administrator, head office etc.\n\n * Material co-ordination and ordering\n\n * Ensure accurate / timely completion of any relevant site-based documentation.\n\n * Use of a PDA or Tablet\n\n * Undertake any training required by the Business for your role.\n\n * Any other reasonable management request\n\nWhat can we offer you?\n\nOn offer is a competitive salary and benefits package, which includes;\n\n * Pension Scheme\n\n * 24 days annual leave (+ public holidays)\n\n * Life Cover equivalent to 1.5 times annual salary\n\n * 24/7 Employee Assistance Program and access to mental wellbeing app\n\n * Employee discount shopping schemes on major brands and retailers\n\n * Gym membership discounts\n\n * Cycle to work scheme\n\n * Broad range of learning opportunities, such as professional qualifications, collective/individual training, and personalized support programmes\n\nWho are we looking for?\n\nQualifications\n\nDomestic Gas ACS Elements CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, MET1, CMDDA1\n\nUnvented hot water Elements U/VHW Water Regulations 1999 Code WR1.\n\nCity and Guilds Craft Certificate and Advanced Craft Certificate in Plumbing and Heating or Equivalent\n\nSkills and abilities\n\n * Excellent organisational skills\n\n * Current and Valid Full & Clean UK driving license\n\n * Professional attitude and approach to work\n\nExperience\n\n * Up to date relevant industry related knowledge\n\n * Up to date relevant knowledge of Health and Safety legislation\n\n * Minimum 2 years in a similar role
