Project Manger - Civils
Location - South Wales
Key Requirements:
1. Degree / Higher Diploma qualification in an Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent discipline
2. 5+ years post-qualification experience with tier one contractors
3. Excellent working knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standards

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Project Lead / Contracts Manager / Project Director, your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to;
4. Agreeing project objectives in the areas of timely delivery, cost, quality and client satisfaction
5. Representing the interests of the client.
6. Responsible for the successful delivery of project through leadership, management, technical and engineering expertise throughout the lifecycle of the project
7. Providing advice on the management of projects
8. Organising the various professional people working on a project
9. Monitoring the workflow of sub-contractors ensuring guidelines are maintained
10. Monitor construction to ensure quality of workmanship and materials
11. Carrying out risk assessments
12. Work to resolve critical site issues
13. Ensuring all the aims of the project are met
14. Co-ordinate project activities in accordance with company Quality System, Standard Quality Procedures and Engineering Specifications
15. Ensure Design Team provide required information on time
16. Using IT systems to keep track of people and progress
17. Assisting the Project QS with the accounting, costing and billing to ensure the project is on budget
18. Agreeing programme and delivering the project in accordance with same
19. Chairing site meetings to include sub-contractor progress meetings and recording required minutes
20. Chairing Internal and Client Meeting as required by Project Lead / Contracts Manager and recording required minutes
21. Ensuring the project is running in accordance to the programme and on budget
22. Completing Weekly, Bi-weekly and Monthly Reports as part of Project development
23. Tracking Schedule Status and reporting accordingly
24. Tracking Project Controls and monitoring schedule and costs for the Project
25. Tracking and controlling Material & Plant requirements for the Project
26. Tracking Change Management on the Project and reporting accordingly
27. Ensuring an efficient construction site
28. Delivering projects with the highest quality
29. Leading Safety Leadership to include walks, Area Owner Management etc
30. Working with the Health & Safety Department ensuring safe construction at all times.
