Are you passionate about transforming education through data? Do you want to be part of a mission that equips schools with cutting-edge tools and insights to shape the future of learning and improve the opportunities for young people? United Learning has embarked on an ambitious transformation roadmap, and our Data & Insights Team is at the heart of this journey. This is your chance to join us and make a real difference – not only within our schools but across the entire educational sector.
As part of a team that is shaping the future of education, you will be central to our strategy of empowering teachers, students, and leaders with the insights they need to excel. With your expertise, you will be part of groundbreaking initiatives that don't just stay within United Learning; they impact the broader sector through collaborations with other educational organisations, such as Open Education AI (OEAI). We're looking for individuals who love problem-solving, innovation, and making data work for education’s biggest challenges.
This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis with a requirement to work a day a week from our Central Office in Peterborough, although alternative arrangements will be considered depending on the candidate and location.
What you’ll do
* Lead the reporting cycle: take ownership of managing and delivering the reporting cycle outlined in our data calendars. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of insights and reports that support decision-making across the organisation.
* Drive innovation: manage the complete lifecycle of our Power BI dashboards, developing and maintaining essential data products that drive strategic decisions.
* Shape the future of learning: collaborate with stakeholders to enhance data literacy and engagement, ensuring your insights contribute directly to school success and growth.
* Be a change agent: help design new data tools and predictive models that go beyond what’s currently possible in the education sector.
Knowledge, skills and experience
* Proven working knowledge of Microsoft Data technologies, including SQL, Power Query, Power BI, and Excel.
* The ability to take ownership of existing reports or develop new reports from scratch.
* Experience managing data set security, for example, different access levels or RLS.
* Experience in a data role in a school/trust/local authority or adjacent charity sector.
* A strong understanding of schools and accountability/performance measures.
* Autonomy to manage an end-to-end process independently.
* Experienced in managing competing priorities (individually and across a team) through effective short- and long-term planning and delivering accurate, quality-assured data and analysis to challenging timescales.
Rewards and Benefits
* Competitive salary.
* Contributory pension scheme.
* 26 days holiday
* Occupational sick pay, protecting you and your family.
* Competitive maternity, paternity, and adoption benefits.
* Group Life Insurance Scheme
* Extensive range of employee benefits through our partner Perkbox.
* Westfield Health cash plan for eligible staff
* Continuous Professional Development options that will be tailored to your needs.
* A supportive team across the country.
* We are open to requests for flexible or part-time working; and we encourage open and regular conversations about work-life balance.
Why join us?
You’ll be part of a dynamic, supportive team that celebrates innovation, collaboration, and growth. We provide a fantastic environment for continuous professional development and encourage out-of-the-box thinking.
