We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our team in Brimsdown London, you will report into the Site CAPEX Manager and will provide overall coordination for a number of projects. You will be responsible for developing the process design of Site Capital Projects. The site project team portfolio is a circa £10m/yr size portfolio consisting of several projects to improve and replace assets at the Brimsdown site. Projects are mainly asset renewal upgrades with some growth projects. Projects executed by this team will be largely self-delivered and self-designed, without the use of external design companies.
The Process Design Engineer will undertake process design on capital projects from early concept and feasibility through to detailed design. They will support projects during the build, commissioning and handover stages, ensuring other engineering disciplines, project managers and construction engineers receive appropriate guidance and direction, to ensure that relevant engineering standards are understood, interpreted and adhered to as part of the project. You may also be asked to generate and execute commissioning protocols and plans.

Your responsibilities:
Proactively promote a positive Health & Safety culture and ensure adherence to JM policies (including HR/EHS/Security).
Technical expert for the process/chemical engineering discipline, delivering process engineering designs.
Liaise with the Project team, Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Engineering and other site or sector teams to ensure that the right systems are implemented.
Writing of, or input into key project deliverables such as concept selection & justification, basis of design and technical specification documents.
Support HAZOP, LOPA and other hazard studies as part of project risk management.
Generation of key process engineering deliverables including: mass and energy balances, process flow diagrams, P&IDs, control and operating philosophies, cause and effects, datasheets
Requirements for the role:
Engineering degree in relevant subject at MEng/BEng or MSc/BSc level (e.g. Chemical Engineering)
Experience of working as a Process/Chemical Engineer Essential
Experience of delivering key process engineering scopes such as mass & energy balances, P&IDs, Cause and Effects, equipment sizing and Operating procedures Essential
Competent in a variety of risk management processes (e.g. HAZOP/LOPA, QRA, bow-ties, risk registers and matrices) Essential
Experience working on an operational site as Process Engineer Essential
