Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for x2 Assistant Accountants based at Ailsa Hospital.
What you will do:
Be our Assistant Accountant! Be a permanent part of our proactive and dynamic Management Accounting Team, Use your financial acumen to make a difference and influence our services for the future! Be the driving force for financial excellence. You'll be responsible for providing a comprehensive management accountancy service.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
1. Supporting our Health and Social Care Partnerships, who deliver Health services to the population of Ayrshire by providing professional, efficient and effective financial services and advice to a range of stakeholders on a daily basis.
2. Building effective relationships and working collaboratively and constructively with multi-professional teams across the health portfolio of the H&SCP.
3. Demonstrating sound technical accounting expertise and understanding our governance to assist in the preparation of the annual budget, forecasts, Government returns, annual accounts, audit and more routinely, our monthly management reports.
4. Your analysis will be key in our decision-making across the whole health portfolio of the H&SCP, so your ability to draw insight, present and challenge is just as important as the technical know-how, acting as much as a business partner as a management accountant.
5. Providing clear, meaningful data to enable Senior Managers and Budget Holders to be able to make well-informed, timely decisions around budgets, service delivery and the management of budget pressures, savings and efficiencies.
6. Bringing new ideas on how we can perform better, do things differently and learn from best practice.
Hours:
37 hours per week.
