An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Urology Diagnostic and Treatment Unit for an Assistant Booking Co-ordinator.
The successful candidate must have a flexible approach, possess excellent communication skills, must be reliable, well organised and able to work as part of a team or independently. There is also the opportunity for career progression within this role.
Main duties of the job
Duties will include but not limited to: booking of appointments, managing waiting lists, updating comments and managing patient RTT pathways in Radar and the Somerset Cancer Register, answering the telephone, preparation of clinic notes including E-notes, outcoming clinics and admitting and discharging patients on BEA.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Good level of general education, achieving a minimum of two GCSE's (or equivalent) level 'C' Maths and English.

* Knowledge of MAXIMS & PAS
PHYSICAL SKILLS
* Able to exert moderate physical effort over short periods lifting bags of notes weighing not in excess of 10Kg and sorting into clinics as required.
PRACTICAL AND INTELLECTUAL SKILLS (INCLUDING ANY SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE)
* Proven communication skills.
* Ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
* Understanding of appointment systems.
* Good customer care skills
* Ability to participate in and contribute to improving departmental work processes and procedures

* Professional manner and self-motivated.
* Able to manage own workload and work as part of a team, including cross covering colleagues leave.
TRAINING
