Job Summary
The Chief Finance Officer will work collaboratively with the Chief Executive and other members of the Corporate Leadership Team to provide strategic leadership to the Education Authority, progressing its improvement journey and ensuring strategic alignment across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. To have access to a suitable vehicle or alternative form of transport to carry out mobility requirements of the post in an efficient and effective manner.
2. To work flexibly and collaboratively with the Chief Executive and other members of the Corporate Leadership Team.
3. To develop and deliver a vision and plan to deliver the best possible outcomes for service users.
4. To experience of working collectively across a senior leadership team to deliver strategic alignment of purpose, vision and goals.
5. To provide over-arching leadership with evidence of empowering, championing excellence and establishing momentum for continuous improvement.
Requirements
1. A fully qualified accountant with current membership of one of the five CCAB bodies or CIMA or equivalent.
2. A minimum of three years experience of providing strategic leadership within a large and complex environment.
3. Experience of working in an organisation with a budget over £100m and a multi-disciplinary workforce.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be based at EAs Headquarters in Belfast and will be required to travel across Northern Ireland and on occasion further afield to attend meetings and fulfill duties and responsibilities.
Salary
A salary of £102,877 - £113,524 per annum. Progression through the salary scale dependent upon satisfactory performance.
