We’re looking for a copywriter with 2+ years’ experience writing for eCommerce sites to join our agency.
Joining on an initial 9 month fixed term contract, you’ll write product descriptions for one of the UK’s most-loved household brands (yes, one even your friends and family will know!) That means you need to have a real way with words – you’ll be able to identify and articulate the appeal and selling points of products ranging from fridge freezers to knitting patterns, all in the brand’s iconic tone of voice.
You will be an adaptable writer, who can quickly learn the best practice requirement for whatever product type is required. You will be used to working at pace with a consistent attention to detail, confident in translating product data and specifications into digestible descriptions. You will work flexibly with a team of other writers and be confident in using the workflow and CMS to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
Responsibilities
* Under the direction of the Copywriter Lead, you’ll write engaging copy for multiple product types and brands in the brand’s master tone of voice.
* You’ll write copy that is engaging, concise, digestible and relevant to users, following best practice for SEO.
* Build and manage great relationships with stakeholders at ITG and our client site.
Minimum Requirements
* Experience writing for eCommerce sites or brands with a sound understanding of SEO and brand Tone of Voice.
* Experienced in use of CMS to produce eCommerce content.
* Excellent attention to detail and consistency in writing.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Able to turn business requirements and briefs into engaging writing.
* A portfolio of great copywriting, including examples of product content.
