Access have partnered with an environmental and engineering consultancy who are searching for a new Associate Director, Technical Director or Regional Manager/Director in their London office, to join the growing leadership team. With a split between Geotechnical design and Ground Investigation projects, our client has a very diverse project and customer portfolio covering civil engineering construction projects such as large scale warehouses, transportation infrastructure and state of the art manufacturing facilities.
The successful candidate will already be at Associate Engineer or AD/Team lead level who is ambitious in looking for a new challenge in the market. The new starter will be given a unique opportunity to grow and develop their team/office in their own image – hiring their own staff and driving their own office forward as if it were their own business. Our client expects their new hire to be at the forefront of the technical management team, assisting more junior employees with their development, but also striving to win new business with new clients, as well as manage the relationships already in place with legacy clients. The ideal candidate will have experience working closely with UK and European based contractors and clients, with a proven track record of involvement in bid writing/tendering processes.
To be successful in this role, applicants must have:
* Experience in Ground Investigation (soft soil), sheet pile/retaining wall design and earthworks OR in Geotechnical Design such as foundations, deep basements etc
* A mixed background in design/design analysis and site based geotechnical/geo-environmental work
* The right to live and work in the UK
* The ability to be based/locate in the London area
* A strong but warm communication style, lending to people management and business development
