Stork are recruiting for a Project Manager to join our Aberdeen team on a Fixed Term basis over 12 months.
Job Description Project Manager with Stork:
Responsible for delivering safe and efficient scopes of work to specified clients. Maximize profitability by integrating related discipline contributions, and delivering on time and budget.
Tasks and Responsibilities as Project Manager:
HSSEQ
1. Demonstrate exemplary behaviour to positively contribute to Stork’s safety culture.
2. Ensure occupational health processes are adhered to, both during the work preparation phase and the execution phase.
3. Effectively communicate best practices and HSSEQ information with the execution teams.
4. Conduct site visits and audits to verify site compliance to quality standards and procedures.
5. Capture and record best practices, recommendations and lessons learned and contribute to continuously improve the performance.
Delivery
1. Accountable for overall delivery of assigned scopes to client requirements and expectations.
2. Ensuring the project scope of work is executed and documented in accordance with Stork agreed processes and procedures.
3. The main focal point and liaison between Stork and the client for their scopes.
4. Maintaining close liaison with their line manager, providing regular updates on project activities and performance.
5. Developing and implementing the strategy for their scopes including planning, commercial and technical aspects.
6. Delivering relevant performance KPI’s within the project.
7. Reviews and approves material / plant / equipment requests to meet requirements of the scope, budget and plan.
8. Deliver range of services meeting client expectations and requirements as set out in the contract and/or quality plan.
9. Approve personnel mobilisations to ensure competent and qualified people, suitable for the task are sent out to execute the scope.
10. Effectively identify resource requirements and deploy/request as required to liquidate all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
11. Ensure plant and equipment in use is certified, and back loaded upon completion of the scope.
12. Contribute to the duty Rota to ensure 24/7 duty of care and emergency response.
Finance
1. The planning, monitoring and control of budgets and project expenditure for their scopes.
2. Review and approve CTR’s complied by project engineers (UK OPS and/or UK OPS support).
3. Compile and approve CTR’s relating to contractual / managerial scopes (i.e. year budgets / stocks), or multidiscipline or complex scopes.
4. Review and monitor the monthly forecast to reflect the latest estimate for the assigned scopes.
5. Contribute towards the compilation of the budget for the coming year.
6. Review and approve invoices to ensure correct and accurate invoices are submitted to the client, facilitating prompt payments.
Business Development
1. Develop client relationships to maintain and further business opportunities.
2. Identify sales opportunities to grow business, such as:
3. Additional services.
4. New products.
5. Smart / innovative solutions.
People Management
1. Management of site personnel and ensuring the best utilisation of resources.
2. Support recruitment and selection of project personnel.
3. Conduct disciplinary investigations for own contract staff and staff assigned to other contracts to support and uphold company core values in line with the company’s policy and procedure.
4. Ensure compliance to the training and competence procedures of the company.
5. Encourage the growth and development of project staff by appropriate delegation of responsibility, without loss of accountability.
6. May be line manager to a number of project team members and may carry out PP&D and performance reviews in line with company standards.

Specific Requirements for the Project Manager:
Education & Experience
Education
Essential
1. Degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
Desirable
1. Engineering, technical, quality or commercial background/qualification.
Experience and Skills
Essential
1. Member of a project team.
2. Advanced knowledge of construction project management processes, means and methods.
3. Excellent knowledge of construction material and equipment.
4. Demonstrated experience in interfacing with clients.
5. Previous experience in a project engineering role.
6. Provide technical advice and resolve any emerging problems/deficiencies.
Desirable
1. Knowledge of core trades at Stork – Scaffolding, fabric maintenance, Insulation, Inspection etc.
2. Previous experience in oil and gas industry onshore.
3. Knowledge of Stork and/or client Business Management Systems.
4. Relevant industry experience.
