About The Role
Are you passionate about the maritime industry and looking to apply your analytical skills to real-world challenges? Do you have a numerate degree and an interest in shipping, navigation, and marine risk? NASH Maritime, part of the APEM Group, is looking for a Maritime Consultant to join our team working on major infrastructure projects that shape the future of offshore renewables, ports, harbours, and marine terminals.
NASH Maritime are specialists in shipping, navigation, and maritime risk, helping to create a sustainable and accident-free maritime environment through data-driven insights and innovative solutions. As a Maritime Consultant, you will analyse vessel traffic data, use GIS and risk modelling tools to support maritime navigation studies. You’ll engage with stakeholders to assess navigation impacts and contribute to reports, data analysis, and tender submissions as part of a collaborative team of mariners, harbour masters, and technical specialists, gaining hands-on experience in the maritime environment while helping to drive innovation in marine risk and safety.
This role is ideal for someone in the early stages of their career who is eager to develop expertise in maritime risk assessment and decision-making. We are looking for someone with a BSc (Hons) degree in a numerate subject such as science, maths, geography, or engineering, with strong analytical and organisational skills. A passion for the maritime sector—whether through professional experience, studies, or personal interest—is essential. You should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with GIS software such as QGIS, data analysis, or coding in Python is a bonus but not required.
You will be offered the chance to work on a variety of projects, many of our employees have worked on projects that have been of personal interest to them. We match this with a commitment to continuous development and learning to support your career. We also offer benefits to look after you, from private medical insurance for all employees, access to mental health first aiders, and comprehensive income protection if you cannot work. We also offer superb flexible working options, balancing work with your life.
