Job Overview We are looking to appoint suitably enthusiastic and/or experienced individuals as a bank of Invigilators to cover the main examination periods of January, March, May, June, November, and December. These posts are casual contracts with hours and days varying according to the needs of the school. Appointed invigilators will be responsible for supervising GCSE examinations under the direction of the Examinations Officer. Requirements No experience is necessary as full training will be given, but applicants should have good communication skills and be able to adhere to strict guidelines as set out by the Examination Boards. Invigilators need to be over 18, reliable and punctual, highly flexible, able to relate to learners. Successful applicants will be able to work alone or as part of a team, have a good eye for detail, and be able to remain calm under pressure. You will need to have: Flexibility in working hours and ability to offer medium-term commitment Good organisational skills Reliability and punctuality Willingness to work as part of a team Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate to students Desirable Experience Previous experience of working in a school environment is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
