The Role
As a Chemistry Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across the curriculum, from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level. You will be joining a supportive and collaborative department, where the focus is on providing high-quality teaching that sparks curiosity and deepens students' understanding of chemistry.
In this role, you will:
* Teach Chemistry to students of various abilities and key stages (KS3/4/5)
* Develop and implement a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum that fosters a deep understanding of chemistry principles.
* Plan and deliver interactive lessons that challenge students to think analytically and apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios.
* Assess student progress regularly through a combination of formal assessments, practical experiments, and homework, and provide feedback to support their academic development.
* Promote practical learning through well-equipped lab sessions, helping students develop essential investigative and experimental skills.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a Chemistry Teacher who:
* Holds a degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject.
* Holds QTS or an equivalent qualification (unqualified candidates are welcome to apply!).
* Has a deep passion for chemistry and a strong ability to engage students in the subject, making complex ideas accessible and stimulating.
* Demonstrates a student-centred approach, ensuring that teaching is tailored to meet individual needs and promotes achievement for all.
* Is confident using technology and practical experiments to enhance student learning.
* Works well as part of a collaborative team and is open to sharing knowledge, resources, and ideas.
* Is highly organized, reliable, and has excellent communication skills.
