We are currently looking for a Care Manager to lead a team providing care and support to our residents across the village. Buckshaw Retirement Village provides a new concept in retirement living with distinct communities offering options for ownership and rental in an attractive and well-appointed location.
As a Care Manager, you would be providing leadership and support to ensure a high-quality service delivery which meets legislative and company requirements as well as the individual needs of our residents.
The company is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.

* 40 hours per week

* Shift pattern either 8am-4.30pm, 8.30am-5pm, or 9am-5.30pm, Monday to Friday

About the role:
Supervisory experience is essential as you will be required to lead and motivate the team in the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring that our residents are treated with dignity and respect at all times. You will need to work as part of a team as well as being able to lead the team and to work independently.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing the service on a day-to-day basis
* Completing and updating care and support plans, risk assessments, and audits
* Managing and monitoring medication
* Ensuring confidentiality and safeguarding procedures are adhered to
* Participating in recruitment
* Leading on induction and training, and dealing with staffing issues
* Ensuring the service operates within a set budget
* Flexibility is essential in order to meet the needs of the service, and you will be required to participate in an on-call rota. A driving licence holder with business insurance is preferred.
About You:
You should be an experienced care professional with a level 3 qualification in a care-related subject. You will need to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of legislation appropriate to the care industry. You should possess excellent time management skills and be able to manage a varied workload demonstrating the ability to prioritise effectively under pressure. Good communication skills are a must, and you will need to work collaboratively to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
