Highbridge Resourcing are a social care agency and we are recruiting a level 3 qualified Support Worker to work with a young person on a 1 to 1 package based in Bristol. The young person is male aged between 16-19 years old. The support worker role is available on a temporary long term basis and requires commitment and stability to enable relationships to form.
As a support worker, you will be supporting a young person on a 1 to 1 basis with their transition into independent living. Working as part of a wider team, you will support the young person with the following:
1. Relationship with family, peers, neighbours, staff and other professionals.
2. Personal and domestic hygiene.
3. Budgeting.
4. Physical and emotional health.
5. Training/education/employment/recreation.
The service supports young people age 16 to 18 years that require 24 hour independent living support. The shifts available are:
1. 24 hour shifts (Apply online only) plus a sleep in.
You can choose how many hours a week you would like to work as part time and full time work is available. A minimum of 1 shift per week is required.
The ideal support worker will:
1. Have an NVQ level 3 in children’s and young people, or equivalent qualification (such as Counselling, Psychology Degree, Nursing Diploma).
2. Have at least 6 months paid experience in childrens/young people or similar support worker role in the UK.
3. Have experience as a support worker for young people.
4. Be motivated, flexible, and reliable.
5. A current DBS or happy to undertake a new one.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £12.83-£13.70 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 55 per week
