This position is responsible for supporting a friendly and inclusive team to recover high value amounts from a global ledger. You will be working in a fast paced and KPI driven environment to achieve both team and individual targets. Credit Controller Responsibilities: Proactively manage relationships with commercial internal and external stakeholders to ensure any outstanding payments are recovered effectively and within agreed terms. Liaise with internal departments to effectively manage any queries with regards to payments, thus ensuring prompt payment of outstanding amounts. Maintain regular contact with customers via email and telephone to ensure that all relevant debts are managed as efficiently and effectively as possible. Run daily reports regarding; direct debits received, overdue accounts, cash forecast, and credit risk, addressing any issues as they arise. Support the Sales Ledger department with customer queries and resolve as required. Ensure ledger clear downs are performed to ensure credit balances are allocated where appropriate. Assist the wider Credit Control team with the management of workload priority as required. Support with the timely management of escalated queries, including the effective delegation of individual queries across the team. Download daily bank statements from multiple banks in multiple currencies. Effectively manage individual portfolio of accounts, posting daily cash and ensuring outstanding debts are collected and managed in line with company policy. Ensure that any risks regarding accounts are identified and managed promptly. Support continuous improvement projects. Ensuring a focus upon strong internal control and maintaining excellent customer service, thus supporting sales growth and mitigating risk across all areas of the business. Credit Controller Required Skills and Experience: Previous B2B Credit Control experience, ideally gained within a large or multi-site business. Sales ledger exposure and understanding. Previous experience of working in a KPI and target driven environment with the ability to remain calm in sometimes pressured situations. Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively manage and prioritise responsibilities accordingly. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong and trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. The ability to learn and use new IT systems effectively. A motivated, proactive, and positive outlook and approach to tasks. The ability to work well alongside a friendly team to achieve collective results. A desire to pursue and develop within a Credit Control career path.
