SCFT has 12 inpatient Wards across Sussex providing care and rehabilitation to our patients.
Following the retirement of the current post holder, we are looking for an experienced nurse interested in the training and support of clinical staff to join our Practice Development team supporting our inpatient units. Applicants will need to be focused on the delivery of quality care for our patients and be enthusiastic about education, service improvement, and developing career progression options for our staff.
The successful candidate will work closely with the inpatient Ward Managers and the other Practice Development Nurses in the team, to identify areas in need of support and opportunities for development.
The Practice Development Nurses have a lead role in the development and provision of practice education standards for the inpatient Units for the Trust. This interesting and varied role provides mentorship, work-based learning facilitation, and teaching. You will be working with divisional leads and specialist nurses to support change by identifying training needs and assisting in the design and delivery of same.
The successful applicant will be working as part of the Practice Development team supporting the inpatient units across the Trust, initially with focus on the Lewes, Uckfield, and Crowborough units.
