Job Title: Service Coordinator - International Family Tracing Job Location: Bedfordshire, Essex and Hertfordshire (office base in Chelmsford or Luton) Salary: £26,488 per annum Hours: 35 per week Contract Type: Permanent (Hybrid) Are you passionate about reuniting families and making a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals? As a Service Coordinator, could you see yourself leading efforts to restore contact between missing family members? You’ll be responsible for coordinating and delivering quality casework services, ensuring that our Family Tracing services reach those in need. Reporting to the International Family Tracing Service Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing day-to-day service delivery and contributing to our national refugee initiatives. A day in the life of a Service Coordinator will involve: Ensuring family tracing and support services are high quality, person-centred, and focus on meeting the needs of vulnerable service users. Guiding and managing a team of volunteers across casework, outreach, and administrative tasks, providing training, and wellbeing oversight. Conducting interviews, handling casework, and following up with service users in complex situations, such as separated children and trafficked individuals. Promoting services through presentations and collaborations with partner agencies, building awareness and expanding accessibility. To be a successful Service Coordinator, you’ll need: Awareness of current affairs, world geography, and cultural issues, including familiarity with ongoing and historical conflicts. Excellent organisational skills, with experience in accurate record-keeping, meticulous attention to detail, and effective file management. Proven casework management experience, including database use, case tracking, and an awareness of trauma-informed, person-centred support for vulnerable individuals. Ability to build productive relationships both within the organisation and with external partners, using effective communication skills. Experience of managing volunteers, including management of volunteer meetings, training and provision of ongoing support. The closing date for applications is 23.59 on the 18th November 2024.
